The first time I went to Sharon's house was Thanksgiving 1993, shortly after Greg and I had gotten married. I knew he came from a huge family. Before that trip, I had only met Sharon and Stephanie.
We had been at Sharon's for a day and a half or so and someone came to the front door. I'm not quite sure why, but ... I went to the door to welcome whomever it was on the outside. Keep in mind that its my first time to visit OKC and this GINORMOUS family and I had only met about 1/4 of it. When I opened the door, the young lady standing there in the cold and rain asked, "You got a place for a weary traveler to lay her head and take a shower?" As I stood there nervously thinking, (I have no idea who you are and why I came to this door, this isn't my house!) I responded with my first thought ... "I have no idea who you are, but knowing Sharon, my guess would be, "COME ON IN!"
Luckily, Sharon was standing right behind me and came to my rescue and invited Brenna in! Greg likes to say that I went to the door because I'm bossy and a take control kind of gal ... I say it's because Sharon made me feel like a real part of the family, and that I was right at home at 800 S. Bouziden and had every right to welcome anyone in. I love you Sharon!!! Merry Christmas!
